Hertfordshire-based Therapist and Birth Trauma Specialist, there for those who feel like they’re not heard.

Hi there and welcome to my website!

I'm Amy, a therapist based in Hitchin. At the core of my work is my genuine want and desire to help people improve how they’re feeling. You’re welcome to visit my therapy room in person or alternatively I offer sessions online via Zoom.

If you are reading my page, you have already been brave enough to dip your toe in the water. Whenever you are ready, whether it's now, or sometime in the future, you're welcome to contact me and we can have a free initial chat. If it turns out that I am not the right person for you, I am more than happy to help you find someone who is. My priority is finding the right care and person for you.

I am proud to be a Champion for Make Birth Better — an organisation which helps to make birth, including the road before and the journey beyond, better for all.

Sometimes we just need an impartial person to speak to, who will listen deeply and guide us to where we'd like to be.

This is who I would like to be for you.

The therapy I provide is uniquely tailored to each individual, as each one of us is different in our own way. I am trained in Cognitive Hypnotherapy by the Quest Institute at Regents University, London. I have also completed the ‘Make Birth Better’ Birth Trauma training and have taken part in ‘The Solution Focused Approach to PTSD’ CPD. I have always loved books and have completed my training in Bibliotherapy, which I hope to incorporate into my sessions for those who may benefit from it. This year I will be furthering my training to become a Master Practitioner and will attend a Confident Childbirth training course.

I work within ‘everyday’ trance, where you have full control of your own mind and together we can find the source of the problems you’re experiencing. Once we have found the source, we work towards how you would like to feel, and I’ll teach you exercises along the way which you can utilise outside of our sessions.

I believe you already have everything you need to enjoy your life and inhabit a more positive mindset.
