about me

The beach has always been somewhere I have felt at home, at peace and with a sense of tranquillity. When I’m there I feel like I can breathe, letting the water run over my feet, digging my toes into the sand and listening to the gentle ebb and flow.

This is why, when I was pregnant with our first baby, I was desperate to have a water birth. I had all these beautiful images of how I wanted our child to be born.

Unfortunately this did not happen, and things didn't go how I imagined. I had a traumatic birth, which resulted in Postnatal PTSD. It wasn't until I felt like I was drowning that I reached out for help. The therapy that I received absolutely changed my life. I am now far more confident, happy and finally free from the pain and darkness washing over me.

This is the reason I became a therapist. I wanted to help others, who had been through something similar to me, as I realised there wasn’t a huge amount of help out there.  My passion is working with people who have had a difficult time, at any point, in their journey becoming parents.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy travelling and spending time with my family. I love to be creative and plan to incorporate this into my therapy in the future.

I also volunteer with ‘Make Birth Better’ and ‘The Lister Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership,’ as it truly matters to me that help is available to everyone.

I understand how difficult life can be when you are having issues with mental health. I would love to be someone you can trust, working together to help you move forwards, building confidence and helping you to find the strength you already have to let go, breathe easier, feel lighter and free.

I would love to be remembered as someone who fought for the women who felt like they didn't have a voice and weren't being heard.
